Murphy General Contracting is a 3rd generation company that has currently been in business for 37 yrs and counting! In 1986 Bob Murphy started a small construction company in Needham, MA with one pickup truck, a used skid steer loader, and a solid work ethic. Bob’s commitment to quality work and excellent service, the business quickly grew. He added a fleet of trucks and other construction equipment to meet the growing demands.

In 2001, the company outgrew its location in Needham. The company built and moved into a new state of the art shop in Foxboro, we are still at this shop today and have no plans to move. This shop has streamlined our operations to better meet our customer needs.

In 1985 Bob decided to start a quality homes division of Murphy General Contracting. Where we pride ourselves in top notch craftsmanship and bringing a quality product to the customer.

Bob Murphy Jr adopted our company motto in honor of his father, Bob Murphy Sr, he always said “Get it Done” whenever something came up or a dreadful job was ahead. It only felt right to Bob Jr to make this the company’s motto.
